reorderdiminv

Version:
    Last Modified: January 9, 2017

    Reorders the dimensions of an array.

    Syntax

    reorderdiminv(a, b)
    c = reorderdiminv(a, b)
    Legacy name: ipermute

    Inputs

    a

    Array of any dimension.

    b

    Order of the array. The vector b has the same length as the dimension of a. b must contain the elements from 1 to the dimension of a in any order, but each element may appear only once.

    Outputs

    c

    Array of the same size as a.

    Reorderdiminv versus Reorderdim

    reorderdiminv is the inverse of the reorderdim function. The expression reorderdiminv(reorderdim(a, b), b) returns the original array a.

    C = reorderdiminv([1, 2, 3; 4, 5, 6], [2, 1])
