Read Register Array (G Dataflow)

Sends multiple register read instructions to the FPGA and returns the data from all the read operations in an array.

Input Parameters

  • session in—Identifies your session. Obtain session in from Register Bus Open Session.
  • register read requests—Specifies an array of read instructions. Each read instruction is a cluster.
  • register read requests.subsystem—Specifies the destination subsystem for the register read or write operation.
  • register read requests.address—Specifies the destination address in register read requests.subsystem.
  • timeout (1000 ms)—Specifies the minimum time, in milliseconds, that the Read Register node waits before timing out. The Read Register node times out if the register read does not complete and data is not returned by the time the timeout value that you specify elapses. Set this parameter to -1 if you want Read Register Array to wait indefinitely. The default value is 1,000 ms.
  • error in—Describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.

Output Parameters

  • session out—Passes a reference to your session to the next node.
  • data— Returns an array of the data read from the register subsystems and addresses specified in the register read requests array.
  • error out—Contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
