Nodes are objects on the diagram that accept inputs, return outputs, and perform operations when a program runs. They are analogous to statements, operators, functions, and subroutines in text-based programming languages.
Anatomy of a Node
Nodes have the following components:
Icon—Illustrates the purpose of the node.
Input parameters—Pass data into the node. The node uses this data to perform computations.
Output parameters—Pass data from the node to the rest of the diagram after the node executes.
