When the results of your application do not appear as you expect, LabVIEW provides a set of tools to help you determine where errors occur within your code.

Though LabVIEW can often automatically detect errors in your code, sometimes your code can run successfully but not as you intended. This is because LabVIEW does not know what you are trying to accomplish with your code. When this happens, you need to identify the source of the unintended behaviors.

To help you in this process, LabVIEW includes the following debugging tools:
  • Execution highlighting
  • Probes
  • Breakpoints
  • Single-stepping
