abs

Computes the absolute values of the input elements.

The absolute value of a complex number is equal to its magnitude, or the square root of the product of the number and its complex conjugate.

Syntax

c = abs(a)

a

Scalar or array of any dimension of numeric or Boolean values.

c

Absolute values of the elements in a. c is an array of the same size as a of double precision numbers.

A = [1.3+2i, 4.2-3.7i; -2.9-1.6i, -5]
C = abs(A)
