Instrument Driver Developer Program (IDDP)
NI Teams with Instrument Vendors to Create Drivers
What is the IDDP?
The Instrument Driver Developer Program is a program designed for instrument vendors to develop LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI instrument drivers. Through this program, instrument vendors and other developers create software instrument drivers that customers use to easily connect to and control their instruments. Because LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI are leading software development environments in the test, measurement, and automation industry, vendors can quickly provide software solutions for their existing and potential customers.
The IDDP also includes several valuable technical and marketing benefits for its members, including opportunities to promote themselves and their products via National Instruments and the Instrument Driver Network.
Why is the IDDP unique?
The program gives instrument vendors the opportunity to enhance their products to include PC-based instrument control using industry standard software - LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI. The Instrument Driver Developer Program is the only driver development program in the industry for instrument vendors in industries such as Test and Measurement, Life Sciences, and more.
Because LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI are industry leading software environments for instrument control, developing instrument drivers and joining the IDDP will help you provide a complete instrumentation solution to the largest group of instrument control customers in the industry. National Instruments recommends developing LabVIEW instrument drivers for maximum exposure to customers performing instrument control. Free techical support on instrument driver development, and ensured compatibility for future versions of LabVIEW.
