Jin Bains

As vice president of research and development of RF products at National Instruments, Jin Bains leads the continued advancement of NI’s leadership in the RF and microwave test and design industry. He joined NI in 2006 as director of RF hardware products, where he guided key technology acquisitions, led rigorous product development, and expanded the work of NI engineering centers.

Bains previously worked at Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies in various roles, including R&D project management on RF and baseband test instruments. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Davis where he focused on RF/microwave circuits and systems, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University with an emphasis in communications systems.
