New companies are admitted as Associate Partners and enter a one-year evaluation period during which we define and implement mutual business objectives as a basis for the partnership.

Certified Alliance Partner Level
Once you fulfill the requirements involved in the one-year evaluation period, you could be promoted to Certified Partner status.
Certified Partners receive all of the Associate Partner benefits, plus:
- Lead sharing and joint sales calls with NI District Sales Managers and Inside Sales Representatives
- Participation in local events (for example, User Group Meetings and Open Doors sessions)
- Opportunity to engage in marketing opportunities, such as trade shows, seminars (live and Web), direct mail campaigns, and PR communications
- Listing in the Alliance Partner Directory on ni.com
- Use of the Certified Alliance Partner logo
- Alliance VAR eligibility
- Access to the NI Developer Suite Software Reference Library
- Opportunity to purchase the Alliance Software Lease
- Opportunity to participate in beta programs
- Participation in Web-based training programs
Requirements
In addition to meeting all of the Associate level requirements, you must have an NI Certified Developer on staff or develop an NI Certified Product. You also must have accomplished at least one of the following:
- Satisfactory customer references for consulting or systems integration projects in which you used National Instruments products
- Submission of sample add-on products related to National Instruments products
- Submission of approved instrument drivers for the National Instruments library

Select Alliance Partner Level
The Select Alliance Partner category is reserved for distinguished members of the Alliance Partner Program who have established a high level of business and an extraordinary partnership with NI.
Select Partners receive all Associate and Member benefits, plus:
- Recognition as a top NI Alliance Partner giving even more credibility in your interactions with customers and National Instruments
- Use of the Select Partner logo
- Priority listing and promotion on the ni.com Web site
- Premier Technical Support
- Access to NI sales meetings and training programs
- Participation in the NI worldwide sales incentive and support program
- Participation in account-based sales and marketing
Requirements
NI reserves the right, at our sole discretion to designate Select Alliance Partners.
Factors of consideration include:
Revenue
- Establish and maintain a VAR business in excess of $300K of NI products
- Maintain a high level of NI product sales and involvement in customer initiatives
- Demonstrate a broad adoption of NI products applicable to the relevant application and industries
Relationship
- Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant NI products and platforms; demonstrate competency to select and use the best NI products. (On average, Select partners now have more than five NI certified developers on staff.)
- Align business strategy and collaborate with NI in the areas of engineering, sales and marketing, training, and support of our mutual customers
- Demonstrate extensive application expertise and a proven ability to solve a wide range of applications with NI products
Resource
- Adhere to high business standards by demonstrating ethical business practices, stability, and commitment to customer success
- Pass an independent audit of system integration business practices established by CSIA
