For Students
FIRST LEGO League (FLL)
FLL is an international program for students ages 9-14 (9-16 in Europe) that combines a hands-on, interactive robotics program with a competitive atmosphere. Over the course of eight weeks, teams strategize, design, build, program, test, and refine a fully autonomous robot capable of completing the various FLL International "Robot Game" missions using LEGO MINDSTORMS technology.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)
In the FTC, high school students rapidly build robots using the Pitsco TETRIX platform, and program their robot with NXT-G or NI LabVIEW. Teams of up to 10 students work with a mentor to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles. Awards are given for the competition as for well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
The FRC is an exciting, multinational competition that teams professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The competition reaches more than 42,000 high school students on more than 1,600 teams in 40 regional events around the globe. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It is as close to "real-world engineering" as a student can get.
For LabVIEW and LEGO Power Users
LabVIEW Fans of LEGO (LabVIEW FOL)
If you are a fan of LabVIEW and LEGO MINDSTORMS, join the LabVIEW FOL community. Learn more about programming the NXT robot with LabVIEW, chat, and share ideas with other community members.
Use LabVIEW with LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT
LabVIEW users can also program their MINDSTORMS NXT robots in LabVIEW. The LabVIEW add-on for LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT gives LabVIEW users the ability to create and download VIs to operate and control their LEGO robotics systems.
